Denise chose accounting as her career path for one simple reason: to help people. She enjoys applying her intellectual skills to educate her clients on finance and accounting, helping them navigate their business finances with ease.

Denise works with clients in a diverse mix of industries, including real estate development, real estate rental properties, healthcare, professional services, investment companies, not-for-profit and charity organizations, and entrepreneurial owner managed businesses. Denise has expertise in Canadian accounting and auditing standards, financial statement preparation, and Canadian tax for corporations, individuals, trusts, and partnerships, with her primary focus in assurance. Denise also has experience working in accounting and assurance standards for national corporations and can apply this knowledge during the review and audit process.

Dedicated to helping small to mid-sized business owners with their accounting, tax, and other business needs, Denise enjoys working with busy professionals to provide essential knowledge and expertise for their businesses. She ensures her clients are connected to the support they need, always understanding their desire for clear information and extensive resources. As an accountant, Denise combines her technical skills with compassion to provide exceptional service. With a keen understanding of her clients, she brings a real-world perspective to her work, empathizing with the problems business owners face.

Denise has been practicing in public accounting for over 25 years. Since 2013, she has worked at HSM LLP as a Manager servicing Canadian business owners and their families, becoming a Partner in 2017. In her downtime, she enjoys connecting with nature and the outdoors.
